Aboriginal Camp Ground QC in Noble Gold

Aboriginal Art is one of the more ancient traditional arts in the world, going back approximately 50,000 years. Initially a nomadic people, Aboriginals collect their food from a nature they revere and respect. The Aboriginal paintings portrayed on these fabrics honor this simple way of living, their ancestral lands and the ancient teachings of their forefathers while also illustrating the individual artist’s personal fears, frustrations and desires. Perfect for quilting, these gorgeous and varied designs perfectly compliment one another.

Camp Ground depicts an Aboriginal Corroboree – a gathering of peoples usually for a sacred ritual or a lively celebration! In this design the The largest ‘tent’ is a main function area while smaller and medium tents are connected by dotted paths. Within the tents, the ‘U’ shaped motifs represent men, women and children resting or talking together. Larger dots of bush food and waterholes surround the campground.
