Aboriginal Women’s Body Dreaming QC in Black

$12.40 per yard

Aboriginal Art is one of the more ancient traditional arts in the world, going back approximately 50,000 years. Initially a nomadic people, Aboriginals collect their food from a nature they revere and respect. This design represents ‘Awelye’ – the word for women’s ceremonies that include body painting. Women’s bodies are decorated with dots, lines, circular segments, and other types. This is done to demonstrate respect for their country and the Dreamtime stories that belong to their ancestors.
