Grocery Tote Class – October 21, 2026

Description:  Our Grocery Tote Class is a beginner-friendly course designed for someone with limited machine sewing experience. This practical, hands-on, skill-building class will leave you with the tools to create more totes at home. Skills taught in this course: 

• Hemming
• Topstitching
• Creating French seams
• Creating boxed corners
• Attaching handles

Date/Time: Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 2:30pm – 5:30pm

Teacher: Claire Wilbert

Students Bring:

• 1/2 yard of canvas for the tote body
• 1/3 yard of canvas for the exterior pocket
• 48″ of webbing for handles
• Coordinating thread for both the tote body and exterior pocket

Students will receive a 15% discount on class supplies bought in person at Confident Stitch. Please arrive 15 minutes before class to pick out and purchase your supplies.

Materials Included with Registration: Use of our classroom sewing machines, sewing tools, and pressing surfaces.

Skill Level: Beginner. This course is designed for someone with limited experience sewing on a machine.

Age Range: 16+. Teens 13-16 may attend with an adult who is also registered for the class.

Location: This is an in-person class at Confident Stitch, located at 139 W. Front St, Missoula, MT
