Intro to Quilting: Saturday, May 4
Saturday, May 4, 1-4 pm
Do you love quilts and wonder if you’d enjoy making them? This is the class for you! In this three-hour class, you’ll learn how to make sure your fabric is on-grain, use a rotary cutter and a ruler, sew a straight line, make a four-patch unit, make a half-square triangle unit, press your units, trim your units, and assemble a nine-unit block!
We will supply practice fabrics, rotary cutters, rulers, mats, marking tools, sewing machines and thread. Just bring yourself and your curiosity! If you discover a love of quilting, you can purchase any or all the supplies we use in class at 15% off.
Beginner: You have taken a class or two. You’re pretty comfortable using a sewing machine. You know what a seam allowance is, and you’re ready to tackle a simple quilt for the first time.
