Double gauze is a fabric made from two fine layers of woven gauze stitched together at regular intervals, resulting in an incredibly soft, cozy material. Because of the two layers, it’s not too sheer while still being soft and floaty. Featuring a crinkled texture and deep maroon coloring, this fabric would make a darling Whisper Blouse or versatile Scout Tee!

Robert Kaufman’s newest line of recycled flannel is a more structured version of their Seawool line. Made from recycled water bottles and weighing a hefty 11.2 oz per sq yard, this fabric is excellent for outerwear. Incredibly soft with moderate drape, we suggest making a Liesl + Co Yanaka Jacket or Wardrobe By Me Overshirt with this flannel!

These flannels have more heft than shirt-weight voiles (about twice as much). They are a great way to get your lumberjack on! We have colors to fit all tastes, and would love to see this fabric in a Grainline Archer, Colette Negroni, or a Jalie 3130 Womens Shirt. Pick your favorite color and get ready for winter!

This linen-rayon blend has a nice heft but is also drapey – plus, it’s machine washable! By combining rayon with linen, Robert Kaufman has taken the stiffness out of the linen and reduced the wrinkle-factor significantly. Think unstructured jacket or flowy pants. Yarn-Dye means the warp yarns are one color, and the weft yarns are another, giving the fabric a textured, raw denim-like look.

Featuring floral geometric designs with a hand-stamped appearance, this fabric has a semi-loose weave. Big Sur 100% cotton canvas has a visible weave. Its weight is 9.6 oz. per square yard, making it heavier than many denims, which are typically 8 oz. We’d love to make a pair of Closet Core Files Morgan Boyfriend Jeans or a Kelly Anorak out of this fabric.
