In the Neighborhood Tencel in Day

$26.00

Introducing Kaleidoscope Studio’s debut collection – Avant Garden. This soft, mid-weight twill weave is 100% Lyocell.

Lyocell – made from cellulose fibre – is similar to rayon. However, the dry jet-wet spinning method used to manufacture it requires much less water and no harmful chemicals, so it’s better for the environment!

This vibrant fabric, which features a lovely heft and drape, would make a darling Closet Case Fiore Skirt a Holyoke Maxi Dress, or a show-stopping pair of Emerson Pants!

Kokka Solid Linen Sheeting in Pink

$30.20

This 100% linen from Seven Islands is the perfect lightweight material for shirt making. Featuring vibrant colors and excellent drape, we suggest making a Wardrobe By Me Tropical Shirt or The Sewing Workshop’s Sienna & Cortona Shirt!

Robert Kaufman Ventana Twill in Purple

$11.30

One of our favorite fabrics, Ventana twill is a soft, mid to heavy-weight cotton with saturated color. Not too stiff at 7.6 oz, it’s excellent for jackets, pants, and skirts. We’d love to use this for a pair of True Bias Lander Pants or a Merchant & Mills Ottoline Jacket!

Care instructions: Safe to wash and dry. Will shrink so be sure to pre-wash.

Manchester Yarn-Dyed Cotton in Violet

$9.10

These 100% cotton fabrics are soft and lightweight, but not too sheer. The lightly slubby weave and yarn-dyed color gives them a great texture and depth. The Manchester cottons would be perfect for a Grainline Scout Tee or a Sewing Workshop Sienna and Cortona.

Double-Brushed Blanket Stripe Poly Knit in Blue

$14.50

This knit from QT Fabrics is double-brushed, making it luxuriously soft. It has 100% crosswise, 30% lengthwise stretch, good recovery, and incredible drape. Because the design is printed on, the wrong side is apparent. With that in mind, we suggest making a True Bias Rio Ringer Dress or Jalie 3880 Bobbie V-Neck with this fabric.

For a matching ribbing, we suggest pairing this with our Telio Bamboo Rib Knit in Mauve!

Robert Kaufman Brussels Washer Linen in Thistle

$11.30

This linen-rayon blend has a nice heft but is also drapey – and, it’s washable! By combining rayon with linen, Robert Kaufman has taken the stiffness out of the linen. Think unstructured jacket or flowy pants.

This fabric softens after washing, and wrinkles slightly but much less than its 100% linen cousin. Highly versatile, you can make anything from the Closet Core Fiona Dress to The Sewing Workshop Liberty Shirt to the M&M 101 Trousers using this awesome, affordable fabric.

RK Sedona Organic Woven Waffle in Fog

$15.90

Though this organic cotton features a waffle texture, it is actually non-stretch. Incredibly soft with lovely drape, it is perfect for a classic robe pattern or Merchant & Mills Fielder Dress!

RS Unruly Nature Canvas in Sky

$13.90

Designed by Jen Hewett for Ruby Star Society, the Unruly Nature canvas collection features retro flowers on basic backgrounds. A cotton/linen blend, it has more drape than most canvas, plus it’s much softer! We suggest making a Yanaka Jacket with this canvas, or mix it up with our dry oilskins to make a Slabtown Backpack!

Organic Soy Knit in Loganberry

$21.76

If you haven’t experienced soy knits yet (and even if you have!), these organic knits will blow your mind! The colors are gorgeous, the fabric doesn’t pill, and the weight is just right. Plus, it has 85% crosswise & 60% lengthwise stretch with excellent drape and recovery. And, if that wasn’t high enough praise, my 20-something daughters have stolen all the tees I’ve ever made for myself out of this knit! We suggest making a Concord Tee or Easton Cowl-Neck Tee with this knit.

For a matching ribbing, we suggest pairing this with our Telio Bamboo Rib Knit in Mauve!

There is nothing like being able to see and feel fabric in person. The information I was able to access related to each selection was so valuable as I begin to sew again and become acquainted with new techniques, patterns, and notions.”

The swatch service is awesome! I have received both cool and warm tones twice now and really enjoyed all of the swatches. It is nice to be able to touch and feel the fabric and see the colors before deciding. Also the pattern suggestions are very helpful. Thank you to The Confident Stitch!”

How awesome is this for all sewists???!!! Swatches delivered to your door so you can feel them, dream about some makes, plan a capsule wardrobe for the season, and get a discount to boot. I live in a rural area and fabric shopping is difficult so this is just brilliant. Highly recommend the service!
