Kendor 16-Wale Stretch Corduroy in Nutmeg
$25.38
This luxurious corduroy from KenDor Textiles has a touch of spandex to allow 20% crosswise stretch! Wonderfully soft, it is 16 wale, meaning there are 16 “ribs” per inch. At 9.1 ounces per square yard it’s a great weight for kids’ clothing, Tilly and the Buttons Mila Dungarees, or the Closet Core Sasha Trousers!
8.7 oz Tartan Oilskin in Hunter Brown
$30.45
This high-quality cotton oilskin, made in the UK, features a silkwax finish. Somewhere between a waxed cotton and a dry oilskin, the texture is soft and (as evidenced by the name) slightly oily. It’s water-resistant, has a matte finish and, unlike waxed cotton, the finish doesn’t permanently crease.
We ran a few tests and determined that the silkwax does transfer onto finer textiles like rayon and silk. As such, if you’re planning to pair this oilskin with a lining we suggest using a midweight cotton or quilting cotton.
Use this gorgeous fabric to make any Klum House bag, an M&M Landgate Jacket, or a beautiful lined Thayer Jacket!
DETAILS
- Do not wash.
- Do not iron, just finger press.
- Do not use any interfacing with this type of cloth.
- Test silkwax transference on a small section of lining fabric before sewing.
Boiled Wool Sweater Knit in Mauve
$48.00
This designer wool features chic arches in soothing color palettes. The wrong side is a sweater knit to give this fabric 30% 4-way stretch while the right side is luxurious boiled wool on which the design is printed. Since this fabric does not contain spandex, it has moderate recovery. We suggest making a Grainline Morris Blazer or Jalie Baloon Cardigan with this wool!
Designer Knit Ponte in French Vanilla
$10.00
This plush Ponte knit, from the designer company Milly, can’t wait to be made into a Christing Jonson Moto Jacket!
Enviro Repreve Fleece in Rose
$19.66
This Enviro Repreve fleece is luxuriously soft and hefty with a good amount of drape. In fact, it’s very similar in feel to the fleece that Patagonia uses for their pullovers! It’s made from 100% recycled polyester and features 40% crosswise and 20% lengthwise stretch. Plus, it won’t pill in the wash! We suggest combining two colors to make an Alex Half-Zip Pullover, Toaster Sweater or a snuggly set of slippers with this fabric!
Designer Leopard Ecovero Challis in Brown
$29.00
Featuring a classic leopard print, this fabric is deadstock – meaning we can’t get it again! Ecovero is rayon’s SUPER environmentally conscious cousin. It is produced by the company Lenzing, which is consistently ranked among the top rayon (viscose) producers worldwide for its sustainable wood and pulp sourcing practices. Incredibly lightweight with tons of drape, we suggest sewing a Saltwater Slip or Savannah Shirt Dress with this fabric.

This fashion fabric is sold by the yard.
RK 10.5 oz Wesley Stretch Denim in Indigo
$13.20
A classic hard working denim with distinct right and wrong sides, this fabric has 10% crosswise stretch. A bit heavier than the typical 8 oz denim, this fabric is still soft enough to become a new favorite pair of jeans that will only become softer with age. We suggest making a pair of Cashmerette Ames Jeans or Thread Theory Fulford Jeans with this denim.

Lino Shot Linen in Mist
$17.22
From Lino Textiles, this shot – or cross-dyed – linen is available one time only so don’t delay if you love it! Shot linen combines warp and weft threads of two different colors which – when woven together – produces a chambray look meaning the fabric almost changes color when viewed at different angles. Made of Irish linen, this fabric is the classic structured linen you know and love. Available in a number of gorgeous colors, we suggest making a pair of TATB Jessa Trousers or a Wardrobe by Me Tropical Shirt with this fabric.
Alexander Henry Sonora Cotton Oxford in Terra Cotta
$17.00
This medium/heavy-weight cotton oxford from Alexander Henry lends itself to be used for many purposes, from home decor to a fun pair of Harlene overalls. It is slightly more relaxed than your average canvas, with the same heft and durability.
Sold by the yard.

There is nothing like being able to see and feel fabric in person. The information I was able to access related to each selection was so valuable as I begin to sew again and become acquainted with new techniques, patterns, and notions.”

The swatch service is awesome! I have received both cool and warm tones twice now and really enjoyed all of the swatches. It is nice to be able to touch and feel the fabric and see the colors before deciding. Also the pattern suggestions are very helpful. Thank you to The Confident Stitch!”

“
How awesome is this for all sewists???!!! Swatches delivered to your door so you can feel them, dream about some makes, plan a capsule wardrobe for the season, and get a discount to boot. I live in a rural area and fabric shopping is difficult so this is just brilliant. Highly recommend the service!
