Gorgeous patterned cottons that are NOT made for quilting are somewhat difficult to come across these days.

Our latest batch of fabrics from Japan is stacked with lawns, double gauzes, and sheetings. What’s the difference you may ask?

Lawns are made with higher thread count yarns, making them silkier and drapier. They’re fairly lightweight, sometimes sheer.

Double gauze is essentially two layers of cotton gauze (looser weave) held together with small stitches throughout.

Sheetings are medium-weight cottons with a smooth finish and soft touch.
