Guess what! We’re going to start carrying Christine Jonson patterns!
What's Great About Christine Jonson Patterns?
Christine spent twelve years designing and producing ready-to-wear clothing for the wholesale market. Then, she opened her own shop to sell her private-label clothing. Lucky for us, she took the knowledge she gained from years of experience fitting and overseeing the production of clothes, and created a pattern company for home sewers.
During the design and production years of her career, Christine learned to streamline her pattern-making and sewing to eliminate mistakes. She also learned to design and size patterns to fit a variety of body types and personalities.
Our seamstress, Bonnie, made the wrap dress for me out of our Designer Poly Knit in Waves in Blue, and the wrap top for Jen in our Designer Silk Rayon Blend with Burnout Squares. Christine suggests sewing her patterns in knit fabrics, but the wrap top is made out of a woven fabric, which shows how versatile the patterns are. Bonnie found the patterns to be well-drafted, and the instructions to be clear. Jen and I both love our new clothes.
They Have Been Scientifically Perfected
Christine has perfected every detail of her patterns by making hundreds of samples of each one. She has hand-selected a sample of each of the patterns we will carry, and she has sent them to us so we can hold a trunk show!
First Friday Trunk Show
Join us for wine and snacks on Friday, June 7 from 4 pm until 6 pm. You will be able to touch and feel clothing made from this great pattern line. Prepare to be inspired!
I’m so glad you’re going to start carrying CJ patterns. I remember asking for them when I first came into your shop. They’ll be a great addition.
Yay! I’m glad you’re glad!
Kate, I really really appreciate you and your assistants modeling various garments. I can visualize what the pattern will look like on me better after seeing them on ‘real’ people! Thank you so much. p.s. Bonnie is an extremely good seamstress and does such a good job with fitting. One question – does the V neckline on your wrap dress fit well enough not to gap when bending over?! Did that require any alteration from the pattern?
Our pleasure–especially with these patterns!
