Who's That Girl?
Picture this: It’s a spring day. You’re strutting down a city street. The trees sway, and their blossoms flutter around you as you slide on your favorite pair of shades. The ice in your drink of choice clatters quietly as you take a leisurely sip, your heels clicking confidently on the sidewalk beneath you. Oh, and what’s that you’re wearing? You guessed it: the Cashmerette Webster Dress.

Does the Fabric Match the Drape?
Bonnie chose to make this in our Raw Silk Noil in Teal, which is wonderfully soft, washable, and a dream to sew with. However, this fabric can be a bit clingy, and a different lightweight woven, such as rayon or voile, may drape better. Call me floral obsessed, but I think the Webster would look just dreamy in our Airflow Rayon in Kiss, or our Digital Floral Print Voile in White.
A Sewnsational Success!
Overall, Bonnie was very happy with the construction of this pattern, and was delighted by how clear the instructions were. Perfect – as Cashmerette puts it – for the Advanced Beginner. She notes being especially pleased with the way the facings attach – enclosing all the unfinished seams surrounding the v neck and armholes – as well as the ingenious way the dress is turned right-side-out through the shoulder seams. Sew neat & tidy! Bonnie didn’t make any adjustments to the bust, but brought the sides in 4” to better fit her figure. The Webster, like all awesome Cashmerette patterns, fits those with larger hips and a curvier build best.
